Sudoku....
I was trying to solve the Sudoku.. I realized that there was a lot of things that you had to keep in mind or (keep penciled into the sudoku.) Usually this would spoil the sudoku and you tend to lose interest. This is when i built a elementary sudoku solver using a spreadsheet. You can see the spreadsheet here.
Since some of the formatting was lost when I uploaded online, you will have to manually do some of the steps. Here are the list of things that might help....
1. the first portion (rows 1-10) has 3 sudoku matrices. the first on is the Problem the second one is an intermediate calculated values. and the third one is where you can put in the values.
2. the second portion - the helper consists of
1. the probable values for each cell
most of the basic calculations mentioned in Ruud' s guide http://sudocue.net/guide.php is done in this excel. The subset computations are not included in this excel.
